Reiki Treatment

REIKI - ENERGY HEALING

Reiki is a form of alternative therapy commonly referred to as energy healing.  It is a gentle “hands-on” relaxation technique to help you feel calmer and more comfortable, facilitating the healing of mind, body, and spirit.

The technique emerged in Japan in the late 1800’s and is based on the idea that everything in the universe is made up of energy and this life force energy flows around us and through us nourishing our cells, organs, and glands.

When our energy is low, imbalanced, or restricted by stress, injury, or illness, we are more susceptible to discomfort, further illness, and disease. When our energy is high or balanced, we are more likely to feel relaxed and the body’s own innate healing abilities are awakened and utilized for healing.

Our Reiki sessions are performed on a client who is fully clothed and comfortably reclined, semi-reclined, or seated on a chair. It may be administered through light gentle pressure static touch or with no actual touch (practitioner’s hands placed a few inches/centimeters above your body).
